Identification and Prediction of tree pruning requirement to improve visibility for train drivers

1. Apart from the identification of tree growing, the system should be able to mark down the location also, so that consolidated report can be automatically generated without manual intervention 2. No intervention from driver should be required – system should be self sufficient

Along the railway tracks, especially in the forest areas the trees grow and obstruct the driver’s view of the signal. In those cases, the railway takes the forest department’s permission for pruning and then pruning is done. However, getting the approval is long process and in the meanwhile driver’s view of signal is adversely affected. The requirement is to install a system (vision based or any other) that can predict the pruning requirement at least 2 months in advance so that necessary approvals can be taken and pruning performed.
