During the harvesting season ripe palm fruits attract animals that the snakes prey on which leads to increase in snakes in the area. The focus is to reduce the exposure that the people and contractors face when they are working in plantations.

A key risk that people face working on agricultural land and areas is snake bites from pit vipers and cobras. During the harvesting season ripe palm fruits attract animals that the snakes prey on which leads to increase in snakes in the area. The focus is to reduce the exposure that the people and contractors face when they are working in plantations. The interest is for digital or electronic interventions to compliment the interventions currently in farms/agricultural areas to prevent snakes (currently, none of these are automated or technology-driven today).
